Antiche Fornaci D'Agostino
can place itself among the factories, which has determined
the history of Italian ceramics.
Since its founding at the beginning of the 1800's, they
have sustained a process of industrialization of workmanship
for the cotto of Vietri, as well as research in various
styles including the "Maiolica Napoletana" from
the 1600's and 1700's, that still today is included
among the creative repertoire of the factory.
In 1993, the Antiche Fornaci D'Agostino has been created
an exclusive mixture called MagmakerŪ compounded
by volcanic lava and ceramic clay.
This material is the support, made in various forms,
which characterises the ceramic production of this factory
about its special resistance to freezing temperatures,
cavil and acidic substances. This resistance is for
glazes and decorations too, which conserve the hand-made
style of the typical ceramic art from Vietri, thanks
to the application of exclusive techniques of glazing
and decoration studied in the laboratory of this factory
for the technological innovation research of ceramic
materials.
